Grantors: Registering on Grant Connect Global

How to Ensure a Smooth Application Submission Process
  1. Encourage your applicants to register with Grant Connect Global.

A primary reason applications are rejected is that the person submitting the application has not completed the registration process. Grantors should provide applicants with an overview in the announcement instructions. For customizable copy, see "Standard Language Describing the Grant Connect Global Application Process."

PRO TIP: Agencies including registration instructions in announcements are less likely to have rejected applications due to registration or AOR role assignment issues.

  2. Accurately estimate the expected number of applications.

Indicate the expected number of applications as accurately as possible.

PRO TIP: Use responses from similar past funding opportunities to gauge expected submissions.

  3. Provide an Agency Contact for electronic access problems and questions.

Do not insert "Grant Connect Global Help Desk" as the Agency Contact. Instead, designate someone within your program office to assist applicants.

    • Agency Contact: Pre-populated by the system; can be overwritten with the appropriate person\'s name.
    • Email Address: Enter the email of someone who can assist applicants.
    • Email Description: Text used as a hyperlink, e.g., "Agency Help Desk".

PRO TIP: Identify someone in your program office to serve as a contact for prospective applicants with questions about specific announcements.
